Job Description: Interpreter

This is not an endurance sport, but a relay race, where you give all you have and are always on the final sprint.
The brain thrives on that kind of rush, and the profession creates, or attracts, unique (do not say neurotic!) personalities well suited to such a roller coaster ride.

In the last issue of The ATA Chronicle I found the best, most accurate insider description of my profession. The author, Angeles Estrada, hit the nail on the head in every sentence. Bravo!
(If you re-publish the article, don’t forget to include her name).

This lady knows what she is talking about. As a talented interpreter, she is also a fantastic story teller...
